Practicing Beekeepers

As more and more people show an interest in beekeeping, we need successful beekeepers to pitch in and that's where "practicing beekeepers" come in.

Practicing beekeepers are beekeepers who have successfully been keeping bees including pulling colonies through winter and using the basic beekeeping skills of splitting, re-queening, making nucs and managing for pests and diseases.

We understand the term "mentor" can be daunting so decide how you can help other beginning beekeepers. Have a skill you can offer? Want help inspecting hives?

We all start somewhere so if you can lend a hand giving someone else help, that would be great. Thanks!

Other Support

When in doubt, take pictures, share on Facebook,  bring to club meetings and ask, we can all benefit from looking at what your bees are doing and trying to identify a behavior and reason behind it.
