Beginning Beekeeping Classes

Beginning beekeeping classes provide the basics for new beekeepers from basic bee biology to what kind of bee suit to get. This class is offered in three sessions and students must attend all three to get credit.

Second Year Beekeeping (for beekeepers who have successfully helped bees through one winter together)
Saturday, March 21, 2026
Registration deadline March 7, 2026

This second year beekeeping class will review basic techniques from how to introduce queens, swarm catching and management, splitting and combining colonies, and more basic techniques.

First Come, First Served

Limited seating; first come, first served.
$100 per person; $180 husband & wife.
Minimum class attendance age 15 years.

Rolla Bee Club classes are certified by Great Plains Master Beekeeping for credit towards master beekeeper certification.
