Beginning Beekeeping Classes
Saturday, February 22, 2025 This 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. class will cover the basics to get started in working with honey bees from bee biology to what equipment to purchase. Deadline to register is February 15. Second Year Beekeeping (for beekeepers who have successfully helped bees through one winter together) Saturday, March 23, 2025 This class will review basic techniques from how to introduce queens, swarm catching and management, splitting and combining colonies, and more basic techniques. First Come, First Served Limited seating; first come, first served. $100 per person; $180 husband & wife. Minimum class attendance age 15 years. Rolla Bee Club Classes will be held at Doolittle Community Hall, 380 Eisenhower, Rolla, Mo. Exit 179 off Missouri Interstate 44.
Cost $100 per student; $180 per husband and wife couple includes class materials, lunch and refreshments. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rolla Bee Club 2022 classes are certified by Great Plains Master Beekeeping for credit towards master beekeeper certification. Other certified classes for Missouri will be regularly posted so check the program page for other upcoming Missouri master beekeeper classes.
